In a very special park in Coconut Creek, Florida that has 626.7 acres, Tradewinds Park is one of Broward County’s largest and most diverse parks. On the south side of Sample Road, you’ll find a disc golf course, a lake for fishing, athletic fields, and world-famous Butterfly World. On the north side of Sample, the park offers horse stables, an educational farm, and model steam train rides. Both sides of the park include playgrounds and picnic areas, as well as shelters of various sizes available to rent. The park has an upcoming event.

Summer Equestrian Camp at Tradewinds Park
Each four-day session includes daily riding instruction, weather permitting. Instruction also includes: breeds and colors; anatomy of the horse; appropriate riding equipment, tack, and general care of the horse in the show ring and on the trails; nutrition and feeding; and routine, preventive, and therapeutic maintenance. Other activities in the Broward County park include videos, indoor/outdoor games, and farm activities. Class size is limited and early registration is recommended. Fees must be paid and a release and waiver of liability signed at registration. Children must provide their own lunches and snacks. Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required. Participants should also bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a towel. For ages 9 to 16. From 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. $300/four-day session. For information, call the park’s stables at 954-357-8720.

Quiet waters park is 431.4-acre park in Broward County Florida which offers campgrounds, mountain bike trials, waterskiing, and boat rentals. It has a large and small pavilions to tend to any size of your crowd. Most known for hosting the Renaissance festival, this park would be perfect to be the site of your picnic. The park has an upcoming event.
Splash Ahoy at Quiet Waters Park
Enjoy a bounce house, games, a movie, and splash time in the park’s Splash Adventure water park. Refreshments will also be available for purchase. For all ages. From 6 to 10 p.m. Fee: $6/person (ages 1 year and younger free). For more information, call the park at 954-357-5100
